Sunraysia Community Health Services has a full time vacancy for an Aboriginal Diversion and Drug Treatment Worker. The successful applicant will network with the Mildura Koori Court in order to promote alternative and early intervention treatments to persons whose drug taking behaviour is leading them down the path of criminality and provide various ongoing therapeutic interventions to clients as appropriate. Qualifications in Welfare, Social work or equivalent, minimum two years clinical practice experience in therapeutic counselling are highly advantageous, together with a demonstrated experience working with and/or an in-depth knowledge of indigenous culture, particularly relating to Health.
